Remembering Eric Bauza (October 27, 2026)

We lost one of the great voices in animation. Eric Bauza, the Emmy Award-winning voice actor behind Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died Sunday at his home at just 46.

Eric was a friend of the show, and today we’re replaying his first time on the show with Michael back in 2019.

Eric grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, started his career in animation and went on to become a major force in the animation world, voicing Looney Tunes favorites including Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Elmer Fudd, Marvin the Martian and Road Runner, along with Woody Woodpecker.

He racked up more than 400 acting credits throughout his career and won three Children’s & Family Emmy Awards for his voice work, and told NBC News in 2021 that he was the first person of color to voice Bugs Bunny. Warner Bros. said he followed in the footsteps of giants like Mel Blanc.

Rest in peace, Eric.
